"Purple Stripes Bowl" by Simon Waranch

Through glassmaking, my work explores patterns that originate from varying sources from unconscious doodling to historical glass design. The work is deeply committed to the glass process, and through glass blowing I playfully reimagine, collage and layer traditional glass techniques and expressionistic graphics. In each object I seek new moments of excitement by innovating techniques and translating patterns to form. - Simon Waranch
