"Fading a Little More" by Alex Achaval

Alex Achaval (b. 1986) is a self-taught contemporary portrait painter based in Los Angeles. He has participated in more than 30 group or solo exhibitions in Australia, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and the Seattle and Washington area.

My paintings would be considered contemporary portraiture and more often than not focuses on the female figure (more specifically the face). Currently working with oil on canvas with a focus on expressionism and realism. I’m interested in creating pieces that evoke a sense of playful abstraction while also capturing some verity and I think integrating the two defines who I am as an artist.
