"Nike" by Sonja Quarone

Sonja Quarone was born in Vigevano in 1972. After obtaining her high school diploma at the Liceo Artistico, she continued her studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
The body is the subject that inspires her works and attests to the processes of evolutionary change in the path of artistic development, while the experience of many journeys to distant worlds strongly stimulate her creative imagination.

Her material of choice is resin; she studies it, knows it to perfection
and uses it in her artworks. It is a happy conceptual and material
encounter, encompassing the reassuring flavor of the ancient and the fresh and lively aspect of the present.
In recent years her constant search for innovative artistic techniques has encouraged her to trespass into the territories of architecture and design; she is assiduous in her collaboration with prestigious companies close to design and decoration from which she is called upon to personalize with her increasingly refined art, interior and exterior spaces, integrating her work with that of architects and designers.
She has recently conducted several workshops on techniques and application of new materials in art and architecture at the Brera Academy and the Milan Polytechnic.
