Enzo Fiore was born in Milan on 13 July 1968. After attending an artistic high school in the city, he graduated in painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan, under the tutelage of Luciano Fabro, an exponent of the Arte Povera movement. During the following years, Enzo dedicated his talents to the restoration of antique paintings as well as the design of theatrical settings. Thanks to this experience, Fiore developed the strong attention to detail and technical ability that would be fundamental in his artistic work.
In the early 2000s Fiore showed his works in several solo and collective exhibitions in various Italian cities.
Since his debut as an artist in 1997, Fiore has been taking material from nature to create his works, a unique technique which uses musk, twigs, roots, earth, stones, resin and concrete to create forms suspended between reality and fantasy.
In 2008 Fiore began adding a variety of insects in the composition of his works.
Extreme meticulousness and attention to the smallest of detail are some of the most characteristic features of his works, making them immediately recognizable among the Italian and international contemporary art scene. His works can be found in numerous private and public collections.
Enzo Fiore presently lives and works in Milan.
